The owners and founders of Ballparks Central, a new four-field diamond sports complex in Boonville, Missouri, gave Tyson Ellison exclusive access to cover the story of its opening. Tyson grew up in Boonville, and many of his early class stories covered events in the town. His trust within his community earned him this story, so it meant a lot to him to be thorough.

Over multiple weeks, shooting days, and interviews, Tyson built this package from start to finish. He did not receive pay or class credit, and pursued the story as a completely independent project up until its airing on KOMU 8 on March 12, 2026.
